Oil & Gas Investing


There are many legitimate Oil & Gas deals being offered nowadays. There are more than a few unscrupulous characters also offering deals. If you are not in the Oil & Gas business I would not recommend investing in Working Interest in Oil & Gas Wells. Investing in an Oil & Gas deal is risky at best. If one is in this industry, one should know the risks. Sometimes it's at best a 10% success rate, but with 3D Seismic the odds are better.
So, let the buyer beware! Check out the *North American Securities Administration Association* for information before investing. They have good information and most if not all of their checklist will be provided in the geologists package to investors.

On this page I'll try and get geologists to put up info on specific deals. A lot of deals go quickly while others much slower. Either way, I'll try and find people willing to present their deals here. Be sure and read the SEC article below *Oil and Gas Scams*. It's also has good information for potential investors.

Any deals presented here will require a simple statement the information presented for purposes of investments is information generated soley by the individual or Compny/Corp./LLC etc. and not as a result of insider or unethically gained information. In other words, don't try to flip leases or deals if it is in the AOI (Area of Interest) of the company in which you or your buddy or you buddy's buddy has a fiduciary responsiblity. Your deal will not be put on the site if that's the case. If I think a deal being presented comes from Shady individuals or Company's/Corp./LLC's etc. I will not put it up on the site.

I'm not trying to start or encourage a block busting program. This page is not here to gum up the work's. It's presented to provide the field landman with another avenue of opportunity other than, day rate, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. I am not discouraging them, but will focus on small deals the field landman can afford.

The Tax implications associated with investing in Oil & Gas deals should also be taken into consideration. This will be the other area of focus on this page. The blog titled *Oil and Gas Investing* discusses some of the tax advantages.

Again, I'm really not interested in creating a page for flipping leases. The whole point of flipping leases is to get your acreage in a unit for the landowner, you and the company's benefit. If you are flipping leases to the highest bidder, do it on your own. If you are flipping leases to a specific Company; to get it in a unit, do it on your own.

There are affordable Working Interest opportunities for Field Landmen and I'll try and present them on this page, if possible. This is more of an experiment to see how it goes. If it works, Great! If not, Oh Well!
