Objective: In-House Landman specializing in: Oil & Gas Contract Document Drafting and Review as well as other Legal Documents; Oil and Gas Lease Provisions (Pugh Clauses), Due Diligence, Assignments, Farmouts, Farmins, Joint Operating Agreements, Seismic and Purchase and Sale Agreements . Reviewing and interpreting oil and gas contracts and leases including but not limited to Joint Operating Agreements, Joint Development Agreements, Participation Agreements, Farmouts, Area of Mutual Interest Agreements, and Marketing Agreements for purposes of understanding obligations, entitlements under such agreements. - Track AFEs and well proposals and facilitate internal process for approval of the same, Ensure elections are made in line with internal approval securing fullest extent of participation rights intended. - Update regulatory scouting activity related to well permitting, pooling, and integration of units. - Track acreage activity including existing lease inventory, new acreage acquisitions, and expiring acreage and provide activity reports as needed for benefit of your company. - Work directly with industry counterparts to obtain requisite lease/contract information related to joint venture drilling and development. - Review drilling title opinions ensuring that your company's leases are included in drilling units. - Preparation of lease and well exhibits for key oil and gas contracts negotiated by your land department. - Ability to direct brokers in field appropriately to acquire, renew, and record leasehold as well as obtain title curative. - Review third party Joint Interest Billings to ensure compliance by third party with terms and conditions of the applicable Joint Operating Agreement and COPAS Agreement. - Attend partner meetings and interface directly with industry partners and operators. - Assisting with the integration of newly acquired assets into your Land Database. I can provide most of these services regardless of where you are located through telecommuting from my office in Houston, Texas. I can also provide Telephone Consultations on Oil & Gas Land and Contract issues. I have South Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Indiana and Offshore GOM experience. I also have experience in the Cotton Valley, Haynesville and New Albany Shale plays.(Additional Computer Skills: Tobin Land Suites and Quorum Land Systems Database) All assignments are confidential.
